
What happens when a client brings their anger into the room and the counsellor is fearful of it or needs to do some more work on dealing with their own relationship with anger?
The counsellor’s discomfort with anger is shaping their client’s therapy (and perhaps even colluding with their avoidance of anger itself).
That’s exactly the sort of thing we can notice and explore in supervision.
